Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan (Regulation 14) Consultation – Your Views Count

Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent public consultation. We received over 855 comments from over 130 individuals, organisations and statutory consultees. It is testament to those involved in preparing the draft Neighbourhood Plan that only 7% of those who commented expressed a negative sentiment about the proposals.

The word cloud below represents comments made about the town, the Cirencester Neighbourhood Plan hopes to create.

We are now commencing the process of going through each comment and reviewing and revising the plan ahead of further formal consultation, independent examination and public referendum.

Due to the level of detail and number of comments received, the process for considering each comment in a structured way is estimated to take around three months. We will be prioritising a review of the policies and chapters relating to 20 minute neighbourhoods, the town centre, pedestrian experience, net zero and energy efficiency measures, air quality, and health impact assessments.
