St. Michael's Park, King Street, Cirencester

Created by Cirencester Town Council in the 1980's, this gem of a facility lies within walking distance of the town centre. The Park has been designed so as to provide a range of facilities for all ages.

Recently, a new office building has been constructed with adjoining W.C.'s that have been designed for both disabled and able bodied users.

The building has been designed to compliment the park setting within a Conservation Area.

Kingshill Lane Sports Development Site

The Town Council continues its study of existing sports facilities in and around Cirencester with the view to informing a design and costing phase for the future development of the Kingshill Sports site. Ideas on how the sports and community facility at Kingshill should be developed has been sought from local clubs and organisations, along with local authorities, sport governing bodies and Members of Parliament serving this area.

Useful and encouraging advice and information has been received and several options are open to the Town Council. Further investigation is accordingly required.

Recreation Facilities

As will be appreciated from the foregoing information, the Town Council is determined to provide facilities for a wide age group within the town.

These amenities range from the provision of allotments through to pleasure parks and defined areas for activity such as play grounds and sports pitches.

In providing such facilities, the Town Council is pursuing a policy to make opportunities available to all levels of ability and all ages.
