Cirencester Town Council

Members

The Council

The Town Council, which was created in 1974, is made up of 5 wards, namely, Beeches Ward, Chesterton Ward, Park Ward, Stratton-Whiteway Ward and Watermoor Ward. Each of these wards has 3 Councillors, thus meaning that a full meeting of Council comprises 15 Members.

An election took place on 3rd May 2007 and Town Councillors are elected for a period of 4 years.

Whilst meetings can take place on different days of the week, the principal Council and Committee Meetings traditionally take place on the evening of the second Tuesday of every month. Town Councillors also have the opportunity, if they so desire, to become Trustees of the Bingham Library Trust (further information relating to the Trust can be found at www.binghamlibrarytrust.org.uk)
