Cirencester Youth Town Council
Do you want to make Cirencester a better town for young people? Are you aged between 11 and 18 years and live or attend School in Cirencester? Would you consider becoming a Cirencester Youth Councillor? If the answer is "Yes", we would be delighted to hear from you.
Cirencester Youth Town Council was created in 2008 and consists of 10 young people working voluntarily on behalf of other young people. It is a younger version of Cirencester Town Council, which consist of 15 Town
Councillors.
So what can a Youth Council do? More to the point, what will the Youth Councillors do? This depends on the input from the Youth Councillors themselves. Youth Councillors are in the wonderful position to come up with ideas, have some money with direct access to Town Councillors who can help them achieve these ideas (subject to money and legal restrictions). Youth Councillors can also arrange events, lobby for facilities etc.
