Join your Local Neighbourhood Group
An initiative, originally led by the Churn Neighbourhood Project, called the Cirencester Neighbourhood Partnership, has been set up and is a network of individuals and organisations who share a commitment to work together and support each other.
The Neighbourhood Partnership focuses on strengthening and supporting community groups which represent the five warded areas of Cirencester; Beeches, Chesterton, Watermoor, Park and Stratton-Whiteway.
Each community has its own strengths and challenges and all are active in various ways:
- Caring for the environment through clearance works and litter picks;
- Road safety and parking issues;
- Liaising with local businesses;
- Responding to consultations;
- Providing social and educational activities.
Others involved in the Partnership include the Town Council, the Stratton Association, NECAS in Whiteway, the District and County Council, the Police, Bromford Housing Group, local businesses and schools.
If you would like to be a part of this initiative or would like to join a community group please contact Jamie Walton on Email: ucdo@cirencester.gov.uk or Tel: 01285 655646.
