Cirencester Town Council occupies an honoured position in serving the townsfolk of Cirencester.
The Council seeks to provide a proactive service thus encouraging the role of Cirencester as "Capital of the Cotswolds".
Cirencester has a wonderful history and accordingly, the Town Council, whilst seeking to recognise and protect the town's heritage, is also making every effort to enable the townspeople to enjoy a quality of life compatible with the 21st Century.
The Council through this website hope to provide not only information for visitors to the site but also to facilitate links to other sites that support and benefit the town.
The Town Council takes seriously the needs and aspirations of all and undertakes a role of leadership on behalf
of local people and businesses; working together, not only with the community but also the District and
County Council.
The emphasis has to be on working together to make life better, and I hope that we will all seize this moment to address the issues which need to be addressed and deliver that which needs to be delivered.
Andrew Tubb Chief Executive Officer and Town Clerk of Cirencester
"If I had a foreign friend visiting from abroad, I think the first place I would take him would be the Cotswolds. It is English architecture at its most English and Cirencester is the self-proclaimed capital."
